A limited series learning product, the COVID-19 Monitor is a brief qualitative analysis and reflection tool to help Transparency and Accountability Initiative (TAI) funder collaborative follow transparency, civic participation, and accountability (TPA) issues during the pandemic and beyond.
We dove into a wave of new data tools that are tracking governance information over the course of the pandemic. This pilot issue of the COVID-19 Monitor reveals some of the biggest trends and takeaways from all this data. Most of the 27 trackers analyzed were newly produced to meet the needs of the crisis, and represent a range of sectors and data sources. We found that these tools can be helpful for future planning, and to orient TPA initiatives within the broader pandemic response.
